'This happened before my divorce in a place where I use to live with my husband.
My husband's grandmother owned the land and my husband's entire family moved
mobile homes onto the property to stay close to their parents. Me and my husband
lived in one of these. There were some apple trees behind the home we were living
in and this entire area was covered in woods and cliffs.
One night, my husband got a call from his sister next door and he stated that she sounded frantic. She said whatever we did not to come outside. He asked her why. She said that her and this other girl was walking from her brother's house to her father's home and they glanced up and sitting near one of the apple trees was a large black panther.

looked out the window, but by the time we got there, it was gone. '

'This is something that happened to my mother when I was 5 yrs old. We lived
in an old one bedroom house on the outskirts of Irvine, Ky. It sat upon a hill
and had a cemetery on one side and behind it was a large wooded area. Even though
it was the late 70's, we lived then as they must have done in the 1800's. We
had no indoor plumbing, no running water, and no electricity. We heated the
house by lighting a fire in the fireplace. The only electronic thing we had
was a battery operated alarm clock which my father would use to wake him up
for work.
I slept on the couch in the living room. Every night after every one else was asleep, my mother would go to the door. She would look out the window and I woke up one night and asked her what she was looking at. She said a family of black panthers would come out of the woods at night to eat the dog's food and drink it's water as the dog cowered under the front porch. My mother got to the point where she would leave out extra water and food to feed them. She asked me if I wanted to see them, but I was too afraid and I would just pull the blanket up over my head.
I distinctly remember
one morning when I woke up, my mother said she had forgot to leave food out
the night before. I walked out on the front porch and there on the front door
was what looked like a huge paw print. It was definately a cat's paw and though
we didn't take pictures of it, I will never forget what it looked like.'

'I never saw the creature but the print was about the size of a full grown man's
hand if he made a fist. It looked to me like a domestic cat's paw, but much,
much bigger.'

'me and my friends was setting up are hutting camp where we hunt every year.it
was about 6:00 am and just getting day light.we have been hunting here for years
and nothing like this has happen to us before.my cousin went to get some rope
from the truck that we needed.he was gone for about 25 minutes when he came
running up the hill screaming we stoped doing what we was doing and ran to him.
he said he sall a big man running at him gralling. we went down where he said
he sall this man and wated.we sait there for about 5 to 10 minutes tell we thout
he was full of it. just when we got up a rock came flying towerd us . my friend
shouted come out and nothing so we got up and was walking to where it came from
and that is where it came at us. we ran to are camp got in are caben and shut
the door. it stade out side for a long time befor it left.it tride to get in
one time.then after 2 hours it left we havent been back sents. and know one
would belive us when we told them that ant that a bitch. '

'ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS MY HUNTING PARTNER AND I OBSERVED A LARGE BLACK CAT.
THE CAT WAS SOME TYPE OF PANTHER OR A MOUNTAIN LION BLACK IN COLOR WHICH IS
KNOWN TO HAPPEN. I KNOW WHERE THE ANIMAL LIVES AND FREQUENTS OFTEN. IT IS ALONG
THE OHIO RIVER. I BELIEVE IT IS HUNTING AND LIVING UP AND DOWN THIS RIVER.
ON ONE OCCASION IT
ACTUALLY CHARGED OUR CAR! WE HAD STARTLED THE ANIMAL AS IT WAS SNEAKING UP ON
5 DEER. ANOTHER TIME WE WERE ON FOOT AND THE ANIMAL WAS STALKING US. I SHINED
A FLASHLIGHT ON THE ANIMAL AS IT WAS APPROX: 100 YARDS AWAY FROM US AND RUNNING
CROUCHED AND STRAIGHT AT US. THE ANIMAL ALSO KILLED A MANS DOG WHICH WAS TIED
UP IN THE BACK YARD. '

'THE CAT IS LARGE, BLACK, LARGE YELLOW EYES, APPROX: 4-5 FT. LONG, MAYBE 150
LBS. THE CAT LOOKED TO BE AN ADOLESCENT DUE TO THE FACT HIS HEIGHT WAS NOT VERY
TALL. THE WEIGHT WAS NOT AS MUCH EITHER AS AN ADULT CAT. I BELIEVE THIS IS WHAT
LED TO THE CATS CURIOUSITY IN US WAS THE YOUNG AGE. '

'I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK TRAVELING HWY 460E TOWARDS WEST LIBERTY FROM EZEL.
PASSING GRASSY AUTO PARTS WHEN TO MY LEFT ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD NEXT TO THE
WALL OF THE JUNK YARD DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE OLD VALLEY FARM BUILDING. I SAW
WHAT LOOKED LIKE A LARGE DOG FROM A DISTANCE BUT THE CLOSER TO THE ANIMAL I
GOT THE MORE I NOTICED IT WAS SOMETHING ELSE. WHEN MY HEADLIGHTS HIT IT, IT
WAS WHAT LOOKED LIKE A HYENA THE BUILD OF ITS BODY, THE COLOR AND MARKINGS WAS
JUST AS ONE. THIS ONE WAS MUCH LARGER LIKE A GREAT DANE BUT THE BUILD OF A HYENA.
I NEVER STOPPED CAUSE IT FREAKED ME OUT SOI DROVE ON BUT THE ANIMAL NEVER MOVED
OR FLINCHED WHEN I PASSED. IT WAS ONLY ABOUT 7 TO 10 FEET FROM ME AND MY TRUCK.
I DON'T KNOW THAT IT WAS A HYENA BUT IT LOOKED JUST LIKE ONE AND I HAVE NEVER
SEEN ANY OTHER ANIMAL LIKE A HYENA BUT A HYENA AND I KNOW WHAT I SAW!!!! '

'LARGE LIKE A GREAT DANE BUT THE BUILD AND MARKINGS OF A HYENA. ITS COAT WAS
BROWN WITH BLACK SPOTS ALL OVER ITS BODY A SMALL HEAD WITH LARGE EARS AND LONG
SNOUT.'

'THIS IS MY SECOND ENCOUNTER OF THE SAME ANIMAL IN THE SAME AREA, BUT MY FIRST
WAS IN A HAY FIELD JUST BEFORE VALLEY FARM. IT WAS AROUND THE SAME TIME IN THE
MORNING BUT IT WAS AROUND JANUARY OR FEBUARY 09. THIS TIME I WAS AT LEAST 30-50
YRDS AWAY WHEN I SAW WHAT LOOKED LIKE TWO IN THE FIELD AND EVERY SINCE THEN
EVERY MORNING WHEN I PASS BY THAT FIELD I ALWAYS SLOW DOWN IN HOPES TO SEE THE
SAME TIL THIS TIME I SAW ONE UP CLOSE AND I DIDN'T WANT TO SEE ANYMORE.

'on sept 15 2008 around 9:30 am I went out to check the damage after the wind
storm.while standing on my pouch I noticed movement in the field acrosed the
road.about 300 yards a dark figure was crossing east to west at which time I
went into the house and got A old rifle scope and retruned and spyed the figure.the
creature was dark brown and this was no bear or man or even a deer.it move west
in the field and began to move toward the woods which is south of the field.I
didnt tell any one of this.latter the next day a friend of mine came to the
house acting weird and asked if I would come to his house to check something
out at which time I did. at his house he explaned to me that he was sitting
in the living room and his dogs started barking and acting crazy and a figure
walked in frount of his picture window and from what my friend stated about
the size from the window it had to be at least 7ft this happen around 3:00 pm
on sept 15 2008 the same day I saw my sighting. also he stated that his sister
seen a creature walking in the field behind her house on the same day.I have
seen this creature several times since Ive lived here in this county and so
have other people. around colbert lane. milton bedford pike. us 36.and some
of these people said they would verfiy what they have seen.'

'Went out after hearing dogs barking. Seen eyes that looked like they were glowing
in the dark. Uncle just had an encounter here just days ago. What I seen was
in the exact same area as his was.

'we seen one of the creatures crouched down behind a telephone pole. We sat
there and watched the creature for about 5 minutes. And when we went to leave
we turned around and we seen a creature behind us. We was running about 30 to
35 mph and it was still up there with us. We have seen this creature a couple
of times. And it is not scared of us at all. '

'Tall about 7" ft tall and very wide shoulders. About 450 to 500 pounds.
A very distinct odor to the creature. And the creature has a white patch on
its chest. Smelt like a rotten animal and a skunk.'

'Had rocks thrown at us a couple of times. And we have heard a whistling sound.
Every time we have heard the creature or smelt the odor. And he have found something
that looks like nest but to big to be anything from around here. and he have
found a picture of a hand print on the back of our vehicle. We have pictures.
