'I am a night time truck driver that goes down I 75 to williamsburg, ky. I believe
I was south of Richmond, KY. I saw something next to the concrete barrier that
divided the north and southbound interstate. I was on the southbound side. I
thought at first it might be a rabibit, but this thing either jumped the highway
or was so fast I didn't see it running. It crossed about 20ft. in front of my
truck, easily getting to the other side and disapeared into the woods. I have
never seen an animal like this before. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.'

'it looked like it didn't have any fur on it, looking like it was just grey
skin. It to me looked like a small reptile or even a small dinosar. It may have
been a couple feet or so long. It looked like it had small dark eyes on the
side ot it's head. I also saw a long tail on this thing. It was very very fast
and a normal animal I would have hit it, as I was going 65 in a 70 mile speed
zone. I happened so fast I didn't notice if it had ears or not. It truly looked
like something out of jurisic park.'

'Ok, first of let me say I had told this story for years to my wife and her
friends. My wife just played it off as a "story" until I had finaly
had my mom to tell her word for word what I had been telling her for years.
THEN she finally beleived me as she knows my mom wont lie about anything, espcially
some made up wild story to "scare the wife"
My entire life I lived in Pike county Ky. On Little Card road, in Fedscreek.
We had had the hill cut out when I was young to move our new home to near the
top of the hill. We have to this day chickens, goats, ducks and geese. and a
barn at the other end of the property. Seperating the driveway and our house
was a large creek that we had a large drain pipe put in and covered up so we
could get out to the main road.
When I was
roughly 13 or so years old I was in the front yard playing with my dogs. They
began to growl intensely,then ran off to their kennels. This of course made
me wonder what was happening. My mom was setting on the porch, and suddenly
I saw her come running out to me where I was standing. I asked what was wrong,
she simply stared over the creek to our drive way. What I saw, to this very
day I cant fully accept it to be real.
There walking down the hils and into our driveway heading toward the creek..
was the LARGEST dog I had ever seen before. So I had thought.
What happened next was the part I still cant rationalize. The "dog" had a very smokey gray color to it, with longer than ever where else patches of blackish hair on the knees on the front legs and by the ears. This of course was odd in itself.
Then It happend! It STOOD UP! Going from all 4's to 2 legs! It litteraly procedded to walk down the sloped hillside to the creek's edge. WHILE using the front "arms. legs whatever" to hold its self by the trees it passed. Just as a man would to maintain his balance. It leaned over and drank from the water as animal would, but then wiped its mouthh with its arm, like a person would.
I dont think
"it" had seen us at this point until out of sheer shock I said rather
louldy.. WHAT IS THAT THING!? Then it snapped its head toward us.. stood up
and looked at us without making a move.
We were unsure if it was going to pounce or if we should run, as our house was
over 1 hundred feet away, and unsure if we could make it in time as all it had
to do was climb the overlooking hill side we were standing on to get to where
we were. Our yard is about 50 feet down over the hill to the creek bed. We were
to scared to move, after what litteraly seemed to last for minutes of mutual
stares.
It got on all four legs and ran up the hill, across the driveway and to the
edge of the woods. Where it yet again stood up on two legs, turned and looked
at us, and proceded to run on all four legs up the hill into the woods.
I had nearly
forgotten totally about this until going home from Lexington ky to Pike county
to visit my mom and stepdad. I was leaving there house VERY close to dark to
go to my sisters for the night in Pikeville. I had this overwhelming feeling
.. cant describe it.. sorry. it was just a very "bad" feeling came
over me.
Now keep in mind I grew up in those hills, hunted, played, and camped out in
them. I knew the woods well, but that night something was just "off"
to the feeling of the 125 foot walk to the car from the front door. I put my
hand on my belt loops to retrieve my keys and walked just slightly faster then
my usual pace, but not enough to alarm anything.
Once at my car, I noticed the dogs were not doing there usual bark at anything
in the night routine. My mind immediately began to think.. get in the car..
get the hell in the car. Once I did, I started the car, hit the headlights and..
then litteraly lost my breath!
After hitting the lights on my car, I saw "it" AGAIN! There standing
next to the edge of the light pole( that happened to have the light bulb blown
in it for some time now) Not 20 foot from my car..was this "thing"!
I IMMEDIATELY remembered seeing this thing before.. if not the same kind of
thing. I had litteraly walked DIRECTLY by it on my way out of the house! Had
it meant me any harm, I would have NEVER seen it coming! My headlights must
have caught it off gaurd as when I hit them, It stood there in the lights for
a good 5 seconds before running off. It too was on 2 legs before taking off
over the hillside. Now dont get me wrong IM NOT saying this is a "werewolf"
at all. Im just saying to you what I honestly saw. And that is a "creature"
that has the body of a dog with similar physical features.. but can walk upright.

'Slender torso, arms/legs like that of a person but slightly longer and muscular.
cant say if it had indivual fingers or not, but it used its"paws"
like hands.
In color it was a smokey charcoal grey color, matted fur and long black strands
by the 2 front elbows/knees on the upper arms as well as black strands by the
ears.
Head was dog shape with long ears,and long nose grey as the body, but black
around the mouth. On all four legs it resembled a LARGE dog with oddly shapped
knees, on 2 legs it looks human almost with a slight bent over look to its torso,
almost as it it wasnt able to stand fully erect and vertical. Standing on its
2 legs I would estimate it around 5 and half feet tall, maybe 6 give or take
a few iches either way.'

'It was late as me and my girlfriend were driving west on rose creek road in
nebo (near the race track) as i seend a dark object laying on the side of the
road. i assumed it was a dead deer but as we approached it the animal got up
and walked on four feet in the middle of the road.... the back across the road
and eventlly nearly swiping my girlfriends car... we immedinaly turned around
to lok again and found the animal runnig across a bean feild on two legs rather

'My wife and myself were in the house watching TV on a Thursday night. Our dog
gets up and runs to the front door barking like crazy. My wife hears what she
described as a bird screeching outside. I listen intently and sure enough, I
hear it too.
I put the TV on mute and listened to see if it would bellow again.
Sure enough, it cut loose with another scream. It was definitely clear enough
to hear, although slightly muffled with us being inside the house. Immediately,
I walk out the front door onto the porch, and about 20 yards away, something
big runs down the hill away from my house crashing sticks and leaves. I run
back in the house and grab a flashlight and head over to the fenceline that
separates my yard from a deep holler. All is deathly quiet as I scan the opposite
side of the holler with the beam of my flashlight. Didn't see anything. I'm
thinking in my mind that whatever it was is already long gone. Looked around
for about 30 seconds, then it screamed at me from about 50 yards away. Scared
me real bad. The hair on the back of my neck stood up. I've lived in the country
my whole life and have never heard anything like this. It sounded like a peacock
screaming and I definitely got the feeling that it was warning me off. The scream
was more guttural and raspier than a peacock though.
It was very ominous and had a large presence to it. It screamed and then ran
off deeper into the woods, heading towards the Licking River. This thing sounded
like a bull running through the woods. Whatever it was, it was big, and although
it screamed like a peacock, it definitely was not a bird of any kind. It tromped
heavily through the woods. It did not fly.
Research alerted me that Bigfoot often screams like a peacock or an exotic jungle
bird...Then the connection was made in my mind what I had experienced...The
whole situation carried a different atmosphere than the usual trip outside at
night to see what's making noise...'

'I was deer hunting off of Wildcat Road on the edge of an old field when I heard
something large crashing through the woods towards me on the other side of the
field. Not a deer. Sounded much bigger & deer don't snap off branches and
large sticks the way this thing was doing. Just before it would have entered
the field where I could see it, the "thing" stopped and issued the
loudest, scariest SCREAM I have ever heard - and I've been roaming the woods
for over 40 years now. Best description I can give would be somewhere between
an elk bugling and a wild pig squealing and it sounded angry. I know that's
applying human attributes to it but that's just how it sounded. That first scream
lasted maybe 5-10 seconds. Then another scream began and I heard whatever-it-was
crashing through the woods back in the direction it had come from, moving very
fast and continuing that second long continuous scream. It was moving so fast
that you could hear the sound of the scream fade as it moved away
- kind of like the whistle of a train. I could hear it for maybe 15-20 seconds
before the scream and crashing faded away completely. On the same farm, there
was an area near an old tobacco barn where we always felt like something was
watching us. And if we walked our (BIG) dogs back there, they'd become nervous
& scared to the point of tucking their tails. Those are the only times I
ever saw them that nervous. Also found a large pile of scat back there once
that I couldn't identify. No bears in the area but this was a large pile of
solid feces containing some fur and lots of seeds, possibly persimmon. Not coyote,
not fox, not domestic dog - I don't know what it could have been from. Have
seen injured deer in the area with what looked like large claw marks on their
sides and something caused similar injuries to a horse in the area as well.

'Myself, two of my friends, and my brother were taking another one of my friends
snipe hunting behind my house around 2:00 in the morning. After setting up my
friend halfway down a hill myself and my two friends were circling around to
"drive the snipes to him". My brother stayed behind at the top of
the hill to watch the event unfold. At the edge of the woods which opens up
to a field, we all 3 stop because of rocks and sticks being thrown ino our direction.
Automatically assumming it was my brother throwing stuff, we don't know exactly
where he is at. Scanning the woods all around us, I see a bipedal walking, human-like
figure walk inbetween two trees. So I thought my brother was behind us following
us up the hill. But then once entering in to the open field we come to realize
that brother is at the top of the hill watching us. While the four of us standing
at the top of the hill waiting for my friend holding the bag to catch the snipes
to come up the hill to us eventually, we keep hearing and getting objects thrown
at us. While watching my friend slowly walk up the hill to our left, us 4 look
down into the woods where me and my friends came out. Near a forked tree we
see somthing crouched down next to the base of it. Watching it for a minute
or two debating on what it could be we went back to my house. And there was
no possible way there was another human being in the woods that night with us.'

'Let me begin by saying this is a 'third' hand account. It was told to me by
my uncle who was working as a security guard at the papermill (at the time it
was Williamete Industries) located halfway between the towns of Hawesville and
Cloverport. According to my uncle one of the other guards that he worked with
came into the guard shack one night spooked and shaken about something. When
my uncle asked him what was wrong the man replied he thought he had seen "Bigfoot"
while doing his nightly checks around the property. He described having pulled
the patrol truck into the park located on the mill's property and getting out
to do his checks. Running through the middle of the park is a small creek and
on the northern side of the creek tucked back in to the treeline a bit is a
small playground. The guard described seeing movement and assumed it was teenagers
tresspassing on the property after hours. As he got closer he realized this
was not the case at all. Standing infront of him was a tall, dark, hair covered
figure, it's hand ontop of the playground equipment, staring back at him. It
startled the man and he retreated back to the patrol vehicle and back to the
guard shack where he described the encounter to my uncle, whom told the story
to me. I've been to that park many times in my life and can recall exactly the
area that my uncle said the man claimed seeing the creature. I no longer live
in Kentucky but have no trouble believing that a Sasquatch could reside in that
area.'

'I have read your book about mysteries in KY and noted the story about hyenas
in KY. We were traveling back from the Louisville area to our home in TX in
August and saw what looked like hyenas along interstate 30 west of Little Rock
in the dark. Both my wife and I saw a group of them standing along the interstate
in the darkness. I asked my wife what was that along the road since I only saw
a glance of them and she responded that "they looked like hyenas"
I remember seeing dog like creatures that were gray in color with scary looking
faces. I know they were not coyotes since I have seen them several times. They

'I was driving down Bridge Hollow road which is a shortcut I take to get from
the Barren River Lake area to my house. I was driving slow because it was night
on a one lane road, as I topped a small hill, this huge animal ran down an embankment
on the right side of the road and crossed in front of me. It turned to look
at the car and struck out across a creek bottom on the left side of the road.
I have also heard strange whailing noises at other times driving through the
same area at night.'

'It stood around 7 to 8 feet tall with long mangy hair all over it's body. It
was definitely male because as it turned to look at my car I could see a protrusion
in the genital area. Every other description I have read makes this creature
out to be very aggresive. I don't think that is the case, when the animal turned
and looked at me the only emotion I saw in his eyes was peace. It reminded me
of the movie Harry and the Hendersons. A very intelligent and humanlike creature

'It was summer. I was 16 years old.My two younger brothers and I wanted to go
camping but we didnt have a tent. My mom sugested we cut down trees and build
us a small cabin up on a huge rock up on the field above our house to camp in
when we want to go camping. It sounded like alot of work to me but I was up
for it if my brothers were. So we went out to scout some small timber to cut
down. My brothers found some befor we reach the top of the mountian and they
began to cut them down they sent me on ahead to scout for more up above the
field around the cliffs edge. I had been up through that field numberious times
alone and I had an idea area thought of that had quiet a few trees the size
we were looking for. As I reach my destination under the cliff side I took a
good look around to see how many trees that there was. I dicied to go ahead
and start chopping the nearest one at the edge of that little thickett with
my hatchit. The sounds of the metal hitting against the tree ecoed along the
cliff side i guess got half ways through that tree when the heat started getting
to me so i dicided to sit down under the tree and take a break I guess I hadnt
been sitting there maybe 5min. when I heard a banging noise above me on the
cliffside. A t first i thought well thats the ecoe of the hatchet where i was
hitting that tree a while ago. but it kept on and i began to get alittle curious.
I got up and backed away from the cliff to look up on top. I didnt see nothing
so I started to go back to the tree i was chopping when rocks started sliding
from the cliff above me. I looked up and then I saw it. At first i thought what
in the world is that? Then when I realized what i Had seen wasnt matching up
with any animal I had ever seen i began to get scared. there standing about
15 ft above me on the cliff was this man like thing with shouldersabout four
ft wide and long shaggy redish brown hair hanging about 6 to 8 inches all over
its body. It was huge I had never seen any thing like it. my first inpulse was
to sream and run but my momma said that the first instict of a wild animal is
to chase if you run. so i tried to keep calm backing up slowly. my mom always
told me that if i were to ever run into an animal to pick up two rocks and beat
them together to scare it off. so i picked up two rocks and started beating
the crap out of them. It wasnt working. this thing start beating two rocks together
just like me. so i threw the rocks down and started backing up slowly across
the field toward the hill above our house. i kept my eyes glued to this thing
afriad at any moment it could jump off that cliff after me. it followed me from
the top of the cliff as it reach the spot on the cliff where it could climb
down I broke into a run toward the botom of the hill where i met up with my
two brothers screaming and crying. i have never saw anything like that before
but i have watched tv , read and listened to other peoples stories of strange
encounters. And the only thing remotely resembling what i hadseen that day people
call a bigfoot.'

birds or even mock the new coyote puppies. But this morning there was not a
sound to be heard not even the crickets. Being silly i decided to make some
noises of my own out of shear boredom. I began to mimic a deer grunting w/a
growl attached. I'm not sure how long i was doing this and thats when i heard
the loudest crashing noise ever coming from about 20-30 yards away. There is
a large 5'7'' fence between me and a large wood line. the noise sounded like
foot steps crashing hard into the forest floor at the same time I could hear
tree limbs being snapped like twigs. I was frozen in fear what ever I had disturbed
was huge and coming straight for me. Then to the left of me I thought i heard
a growl it was even closer than the crashing woods which i turned my attention
back to very quickly. I was terrified my Knees buckled. I almost cried in fear
what ever was moving towards me was coming hard and fast and tearing the woods
up as it came. I ran for what i felt was my life. I was so scarred it took me
for ever to even get the courage to peep out the window.
I did not work the next evening returned on Tuesday . I decided i needed to
get the courage up to look on the other side of the fence maybe into the woods
to see if i could see any evidence of what it could have been i found two foot
prints by the fence. they were about 11-13 inches long. Finding these foot prints
made me very scared and very excited at the same time. I did not stay behind
the fence for long. this experience has made me very frightened of the woods.
I regret not taking any pictures of the prints but i did share them with a co
worker she got very scared also and could not believe what she was looking at.
The woods are to steep and very thick with brush I could not investigate. I
got a camera and a spotlight together. I set out some bait in zip lock baggie,
zipped it almost shut set it out on a rock on the other side of the fence on
a rock at the edge of the wood line this was on Thursday. I filled it with microwaved
spam and garlic smelled really bad added a banana
and waited. when i came back out to check it the baggie was empty unzipped and
turned inside out and laid in the exact spot i left it. Friday night i tried
some tree Knocking and got nothing. Monday the 18th I was giving up when i went
out to smoke thats when I heard it it sounded even closer than before.i could
hear it walking in the woods. This time walking away from me it began hitting
trees with what sounded like a limb I wasn't as scarred to stand there as long
as it moved away. I listened to it walking and hitting trees until i couldn't
hear it any more. this was about 5:30 I haven't heard anything since Monday.

'well at the time me and a friend where working 3rd shift in corbin ky so we
would meet up at my house and car pool to work. we pulled out on to highway
25 tworads corbin and about a mile before crossing the bell co/knox co line
when we seen something. i was driving along not really paying attenion to much
when all of a sudden my friend almost jumps in my lap as we pass by something
that was big and hairy walking on two legs i swurved my truck across two lanes
almost running back off the road on the other side. we where to scared to turn

'i was squirrel hunting sunday morning and was sitting on the hill and i heard
some movement over the other side of the hill and he walked up but i dont think

'I went to the edge of a small bay on Lake Barkley (near Davenport Bay) to do
some fishing. I cast a lure into the water when movement across the bay caugfht
my eye. I looked up and saw a figure in the bushes stand up and run up the hill.
I was familiar with every animal native to the LBL and this was something I'd
never seen before. It ran upright on two legs with the arms swinging at the
sides. It ran like a human. I watched as it disappeared over the hill. A minute
or so after it disappeared, I realized my lure was still floating on the water.
I'd forgotten all about it. I tried to make my way around to the other bank
where I'd seen the figure but the brush was too thick. Over the rest of the
summer I returned to the same spot several times but never saw it again.'

'I would estimate it stood only about 6 ft. It was covered from head to foot
with brown fur. There was short hair on the head. The fur didn't look shaggy
or unkempt, it looked smooth and shiny. I could see the muscles moving under
the fur. I didn't see the face, I only saw the backside. What was the strangest
of all was that it had what can only be described as an hourglass figure. The
legs and arms were long, but not overly muscular. This leads me to believe that
it may have been a young female.

'I will always remeber this because It still sends shivers up my spine. My boyfriend
and I was driving to his house from mine and we were on 1-68. This was wwhen
168 was had no homes built and no street lights as it does now. I was talking
to my boyfriend when I noticed he was really quiet and slowed down. Did you
see that? he said. I said see what? He hit his brake lights and when I turned
around and looked out the back window, I saw 7 to 8ft shadow form the lights

'LET ME SAY FIRST I AM A BELIVER IN BIG FOOT. I AM A 63 YEAR OLD HOUSEWIFE AND
CARE GIVER TO 30 ABUSED ANIMALS. MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE BEEN TAKING CARE OF ABUSED
ANIMALS OUT OF OUR OWN MONEY FOR 33 YEARS. THIS YEAR HAS BEEN A VERY BAD ONE

HOSPITAL ON RTE 55 OM COLUMBIA I WAS HEADED BACK HOME TO KNIFLEY ON 504. I WAS
ON THE HILL GOING DOWN TO CROSS THE BRIDGE OVER THE GREEN RIVER. I WAS AT THE
TOP OF THIS HILL AND I SAW THIS BIG HAIRY CREATURE CROSS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF
THE BRIDGE ABOUT HALF WAY UP THE HILL. IT LOOKED LIKE A BIG MAN, BUT WAS COVERED
IN HAIR. IT CAME OUT OF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE VERY HEAVEY WOODED AREA CROSSED
OVER THE PAVED ROAD TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD, BUT THEN IT WENT BACK TO
THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND JUST SORT OF STAIRED AT ME I BELIEVE AND THEN WENT
BACK TO THE RIGHT SIDE AND DISAPPEARED INT O THE WOODS.
I WAS REALLY STUNNED AND I SAID TO MYSELF I THINK YOU HAVE JUST SEEN A BIG FOOT, IT'S ARMS SEEM MUCH LONGER THEN ANY PERSON'S WOULD BE AND THE CREATURE JUST SWAYED THEM BACK AND FORTH.
WELLL, I WASN'T SURE IF I SHOULD TELL ANYBODY. I DID TELL MY HUSBAND. THEN I WAS TALKING TO MY VERY BEST FRIEND HERE IN KENTUCKY AS WE ARE 8 YEAR TRANSPLANTS FROM CHICAGO AND I TOLD HER WHAT I HAD SEEN. WHAT SHE TOLD ME NEXT REALLY SHOOK ME UP.
SHE CLAIMED THAT SHE HAD OR HAS AN UNCLE WHO LIVES VERY CLOSE TO THIS SAME AREA WHERE I HAD THE SIGHTING AND HE OFTEN TOLD HER HE HAD SEEN WHAT HE THOUGHT TO BE A BIG FOOT IN THE AREA.
THIS REALLY MADE ME FEEL BETTER AND I AM VERY SURE AT WHAT I HAD SEEN.
PEOPLE DO ALOT OF FISHING DOWN BY GREEN RIVER, BUT THIS WAS MUCH HIGHER UP IN SUCH DENSE WOODS I DON'T SEE HOW A HUMAN COULD REALLY OR WOULD REALLY WANT TO GET INTO SUCH A DENSE WOODS. AND WHEN IT WALKED BACK TO THE MIDDLE OF HE ROAD AND JUST STOOD LOOKING MY WAY WHY WOULD A PERSON WANT TO LOOK AT A TRUCK.
WELL, THAT IS MY STORY. EVERY WORK IS TRUE.
