Possible Young Bigfoot Approached Turkey Hunter

(full name on file) Date: Spring 1999 Time: 5:00 to 6:00 AM (daybreak) City: Cub Run Location: Near Hwy 88 / 728 Describe Your Encounter: “My encounter happened back when I was about 13 years old so a lot of it is hard to remember, sorry. I’m 33 years old now. I remember my dad took me turkey hunting somewhere around Nolin Lake in Hart County. We were on public land. We walked to a hill side and he sat me down in front of a bush to partially conceal me and told me to sit there while he went to the other side of the hill. I sat there for about 10 minutes and started hearing leaves rustling in-front of me but couldn’t see over the bush and it being daybreak it was just light enough where I could see the silhouettes of everything around me. |

I thought it might have been a turkey so I hit my turkey call and whatever
it was stopped walking and it was total silence for a minute or so.
I was behind the bush with my gun in my lap looking down playing with
leafs and suddenly, directly in front of me not even 5 feet away, I
see the silhouette of a round shaped head and short/or no neck, slowly
rise over the bush and was looking at me (remember, I was sitting down
on the ground). I froze and then cocked the hammer on my shotgun and
as soon as I did that it did this grunt type noise and darted off like
a bolt and ran down this steep hill like nothing. I could hear it crashing,
breaking limbs as it ran. I sat there frozen still super scared and
started replaying what I seen in my head. I never saw any facial features,
but the head was kid size, and round like a bowling ball. I have never
heard that kind of grunt before. Even though it was dark and I could
not see any facial features I could make out hair on the short neck/shoulders
area. The encounter of seeing the creature only lasted 5 or 6 seconds
but I think about every time I’m in the woods. And I think if
it was a Bigfoot it was a juvenile. It didn’t look massive like
the reports you hear. From what I saw it looked slender and not bulky.
I’ve never saw or heard anything like that since. I tried to tell
my dad and he said it was probably a deer and dismiss it but I’ve
been a deer hunter all my life and I’ve never seen a deer slowly
raise its head. It’s always a faster jerky type movement to try
and catch you move. There was no smell like I have heard from other
people’s stories. All I do know was this was a really creepy encounter.
Describe The Creature With Detail: “Smaller round shaped head. Little or no neck. I could see the outline of hair on the head/neck areas. It seemed to be slender (from what little outline or silhouette I could make out). I feel like it was a young creature.”
This young man struggled to remember all the details of his encounter both because of the amount of time that has passed, but also because it was an event he didn’t care to try and remember. It changed his thoughts of being in the woods alone from that day forward. He overcame that fear but he is always aware when he enters the woods still today about what he experienced way back then. During our phone conversation, he did his best to remember the details as best as he could, but you could hear him struggle to explain what it was he saw that spring morning. He never tried to add anything to his story as I questioned him, sometimes repeatedly on certain subjects trying to see if his story changed. It is very possible that this young man (left alone, partially hidden behind a bush for concealment from approaching turkeys) surprised a possible juvenile Bigfoot, or this juvenile Bigfoot’s curiosity got the best of him/her and it had to see what was sitting behind that bush. -

"I
really should not tell you this, but..."
Witness: Dollie (last name on file) Date: 9-21-2017 County: Hart Nearest City: Horse Cave, KY Time: 2:15 a.m. Message received: 9-21-2017 "It is now 2:47 a.m. and I just got home from work. On my way home, my sister calls me, frantic, and about to have a heart attack. She cuts through Highway xxxx from xxxx to xxxx, KY. Just before she reached xxxx, she said she saw two large, glassy green eyes up ahead, and thought, "Oh, there is a deer." However, the closer she got, she realized that those eyes were very far apart and as she approached, something stood up with those eyes, and was about 7 or 8 feet tall! It was at the side of the road as she passed. She looked in her rearview mirror and saw this large form cross the road! This would have been around 2:15 a.m. She asked me what I thought it was and I said, "Oh, you saw Bigfoot!" of course, she yelled and said, No way!" She was so scared that I had to talk to her for a while as she drove on home to xxxx. She was totally creeped out. I told her that I knew just the guy who might be interested in hearing about this." |

She called Fish & Wildlife later that day and told them, "I saw a very large animal last night." They responded, "We've been receiving reports of a large animal in the area." Dollie replied, "I think it was a Bigfoot." The officer replied with a chuckle, "I really should not tell you this, but that's what people have told us." Late
in the afternoon on 9-22-2017 myself and another investigator visited
the sighting location and spoke to the homeowner. He has no cows or
horses. We found some possible impressions where the creature stood,
but unfortunately no obvious tracks were observed. The homeowner has
not heard or seen anything unusual, but will notify us if he does. -
